Gator Nation Giving Day is a 24-hour online fundraiser benefiting multiple departments, organizations, and colleges at UF.

Sarasota County Gator Club's Participation in and Goals for Gator Nation Giving Day:

·  After leading all Gator Clubs in the world on Gator Nation Giving Day for number of gifts and money raised in 2023, SCGC led the way AGAIN in all measured indicators in 2024 with 178 gifts (the highest of all clubs), $6,730 raised (the highest of all clubs and over $2,500 more than second place), and 110 individual donors (the highest of all clubs).  Because of this, we received an additional $1,000 bonus.  In three years, our club has received 1,120 gifts and raised $32,058 during Gator Nation Giving Day from individual donors just like you!

·  With our strategic plan in place, our club has remained in raising scholarship funds for local students ($285 in 2020, $5,641 in 2021, $9,400 in 2022, $9,002 in 2023, and $7,730 in 2024).

·  All funds donated on Gator Nation Giving Day that are designated for the Sarasota County Gator Club are placed in our scholarship endowment and only accessible by our club, not by the university.

·  Due to the success of this event, we have annually increased our scholarships awarded for local graduates to attend UF from $5,000 in 2021, to $7,000 in 2022, to $10,000 in 2023, to $12,000 in 2024 and hope to be able to increase our scholarships awarded again in 2025 by raising over $8,000!
